Kreo and the Rise of India’s Homegrown Gaming Hardware
Kreo: Premium Content Creator Gear, Gamer and Audio Gear
For years, India’s gaming and PC-accessories market has been dominated by international brands such as Logitech, Razer, Corsair, and HyperX, while domestic players largely competed at the lower end of the price spectrum. It is trying to occupy the space in between: products that look and perform like premium gaming hardware without carrying the same price tag.
Founded in Bengaluru in 2022 by Ishan Sukul and Himanshu Gupta, Kreo began with a focus on gamers and content creators and has expanded into a broader consumer-electronics portfolio. The company’s proposition is built around making better-designed hardware accessible to India’s growing community of gamers, streamers, creators, and technology enthusiasts. Kreo’s growth has also been supported by significant investor interest.
In 2023, the company raised ₹6.5 crore in seed funding led by Sauce.VC, while its more recent appearance on Shark Tank India saw OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal invest ₹2 crore through a structure involving ₹1 crore in equity and ₹1 crore in debt. Kreo has since continued expanding its product range and is increasingly positioning itself as an Indian gaming hardware brand rather than simply another accessories company.

Kreo’s SKUs: Keyboards, Monitors, controllers and more
Kreo’s biggest advantage may be the breadth of its hardware portfolio. Its products now span mechanical and wireless gaming keyboards, gaming mice, monitors, controllers, microphones, webcams, headphones, chairs, and other creator accessories. The keyboard range includes products such as the Swarm 75, Swarm 65 and Hive series, while its controller portfolio includes the Surge Lite, Surge Pro, Surge Ultra, SurgeXB and Mirage. Its monitor lineup includes the Obsidian 27-inch 2K display with refresh rates reaching 200Hz, alongside a portable 15.6-inch monitor.
For creators, Kreo sells products including the Kast dynamic microphone and Owl webcams, while mice such as the Anzu and Pegasus target gamers and productivity users. This breadth matters because Kreo is attempting to build an ecosystem rather than depend on a single category. The company can potentially acquire a customer with a keyboard and then sell that same user a mouse, monitor, controller, microphone or webcam. It’s website also provides software and firmware support for several products, suggesting that the brand is gradually building an ecosystem around its hardware rather than treating every device as a standalone product.

Kreo Is Betting on India’s Next Generation of Gamers
The bigger opportunity for Kreo is India’s expanding gaming and creator economy. The company is targeting consumers who increasingly want better peripherals but may not want to spend international-brand prices for every component of their setup. That positioning has already helped Kreo build significant distribution and customer traction.
In 2025 that the company had served more than five lakh customers, while Kreo’s founders said around 40% of its customers were non-gamers, demonstrating that the products can also appeal to programmers, tech enthusiasts, and work-from-home users. The company has also begun moving further into locally produced hardware, with its first range of gaming monitors manufactured in North India. The comparison with Logitech is therefore less about immediately replacing a global technology giant and more about whether Kreo can build the Indian equivalent of a broad consumer hardware ecosystem.
Logitech has decades of brand recognition and a global distribution network, but Kreo has something different: a young Indian consumer base, local market understanding, aggressive pricing, and the ability to design its portfolio around how Indian gamers and creators actually buy hardware. If Kreo can maintain product quality while expanding its ecosystem, retail reach, software support, and manufacturing capabilities, the company could become one of the strongest homegrown challengers to global gaming-peripheral brands in India.
