NeoSapien: The Bengaluru Startup Building AI-Powered Wearable Technology
From Shark Tank India to a $2 Million Seed Round: NeoSapien’s Journey in AI Wearables
Founded in 2024 by cousins Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, Bengaluru-based NeoSapien is building wearable technology around artificial intelligence, with a focus on capturing conversations, organising information and helping users manage their professional activities. The startup’s flagship product, Neo 1, is an AI-powered wearable personal assistant designed to function as a meeting notetaker and personal memory system.
NeoSapien operates through ZenithZephyr Wellness Private Limited and is headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The company entered the Indian startup ecosystem with a product positioned at the intersection of consumer electronics, artificial intelligence and productivity software.
Neo 1 is a compact wearable device weighing approximately 20 grams. Designed to be worn around the neck, it captures conversations and processes speech into transcripts, summaries and actionable information. The device can identify commitments, generate follow-up tasks and make previous conversations searchable through its companion application. The company also advertises support for more than 140 languages, including multilingual speech recognition.
The product is compatible with Android and iOS devices and offers up to 16 hours of battery life, according to the company’s website. It can capture conversations without an active internet connection, provided it remains connected to a smartphone through Bluetooth. The captured information is processed once internet connectivity is restored.

Beyond the wearable device, NeoSapien has expanded its software offering through a dedicated desktop application for Windows and macOS. The application captures online meetings directly from a laptop without requiring a meeting bot to join the call. It supports platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp. Users can access their memories across the desktop and mobile applications.
The company has also introduced the ability to use Neo 1’s stored memories with external AI platforms, including ChatGPT and Claude. This gives users access to information captured through the wearable while interacting with other AI assistants.
Privacy and data handling are important aspects of the product’s positioning. NeoSapien states that it does not retain audio recordings after transcription. It also says that user data is encrypted during transmission and storage, while transcripts can be deleted through the application.
NeoSapien gained wider visibility after appearing on the fourth season of Shark Tank India. The founders secured investment from Namita Thapar, Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals. The company subsequently attracted interest from other investors as it continued developing its wearable AI product.

In December 2025, NeoSapien raised $2 million in a seed funding round led by venture capital firm Merak Ventures. The round also included investments from several prominent startup ecosystem figures, including Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com; Sameer Mehta, co-founder of boAt; Awais Ahmed, founder of Pixxel; Namita Thapar; and Aprameya Radhakrishna, co-founder of Koo.
Before this seed round, the company had raised $92,400 from Namita Thapar and other investors. Together, these publicly reported investments amount to approximately $2.09 million. The individual contributions of investors in the seed round have not been publicly disclosed.
The funding provides capital for the company’s product development and business expansion. NeoSapien’s focus on combining proprietary hardware with AI-powered software places it within the growing category of wearable AI products. Its business currently spans consumer hardware, companion applications and software designed to capture both physical and online conversations.
With Dhananjay Yadav leading the business and Aryan Yadav driving the technical development, NeoSapien is building its presence from Bengaluru in the emerging AI hardware market. Its funding history, Shark Tank India appearance and growing product portfolio mark its progress as an Indian startup working in the wearable artificial intelligence segment.
